Miley Cyrus’ Concert Bombs in Ratings, But Outfits Keep People Talking

ABC’s hourlong “Miley Cyrus: Live from London” special was a bust for the network Friday, posting ratings that would not have even garnered attention had this been a regular episode of her “Hannah Montana” on Disney Channel.

The concert special averaged just a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating with 2.71 million viewers in the fast nationals, effectively amounting to a “nothing” telecast for the network. Designed as extra hype for this week’s release of her “Can’t Be Tamed,” the airing ranked third behind NBC’s “Friday Night Lights” (down to just a 1.0 with 3.44 million viewers) and a repeat of FOX’s “House” (0.9 with 2.78 million viewers).

That is not to say Miley does not know how to attract attention. She is again attracting attention for her outfits, this time for revealing attire at the Much Music Awards.
