The word within the industry is that TNA Wrestling definitely hopes to secure released WWE Diva Mickie James to a contract once her non-compete expires in July.
According to PWTorch.com, TNA began courting James almost immediately after news of her release broke, with the idea being that the popular female wrestler could make an instant impact in its Knockouts division.
TNA President Dixie Carter added to the speculation machine by confirming that she attended James’ album release party, although according to the Torch, she had actually met with James prior with recruitment on the mind.
A few questions that come to mind, will Mickie accept the offer? Right now she wants to concentrate solely on her music, and she may still want to when the time comes for her 90 day clause ends. Another thing to consider: WWE is regretting cutting her, so now with this rumor flying, I wouldn’t be surprised if WWE offered to rehire her considering how over she is and the fact that the fans are still demanding that she be rehired. If that were the case, and Mickie were ready to return, I could see her telling Dixie “thanks for the offer, but the company I dreamed of working for is allowing me another chance, and I can’t pass that up, this may be my only chance to return there.”
I PRAY that John is right. I don’t want Mickie to go to TNA. They wouldn’t use her right. She is a WWE diva. The greatest diva in WWE history. Please rehire her, Vince!
Mickie should NOT go to TNA. Hogan, Bishoff, and Dixie would have no idea what to do with her. And WWE has said that they regret releasing Mickie. So there is a good chance they’ll ask her to come back. And I’m sure she would.
Please Mickie, DO NOT go to TNA! We the WWE fans miss you so dearly! We want you back! You’re release was an injustice to you and the fans! We have been fighting do hard to get you back. Don’t let us down!
I so badly hope WWE rehires Mickie. She was the greatest diva ever. We miss her so badly.She should never have been released.
