Breaking News: WWE Releases Superstar For Refusing Rehab

It is lights out for Carlito’s WWE career, at least in the short-term, as WWE confirmed Friday that it released the wrestler from his contract.

WWE, which did not wish Carlito the best in his future endeavors, explained, “Carlito’s termination was due to his first violation of the WWE Wellness Program and his subsequent refusal to attend a rehabilitation facility.”

A similar explanation was offered last summer for the late Umaga’s release from WWE, although Umaga’s alleged rehab refusal came after his second Wellness violation.
