FOX Keeping Both “Human Target” and “Lie to Me,” Picks Up Five Pilots

Fans of FOX’s bubble dramas had been dealing with a lot stress in recent weeks–the assumption was that only one of “Human Target” and “Lie to Me” would earn a renewal.

Those fans can all breathe easily, as THR confirms that both will be back next season. The belief is that both shows, which have developed passionate followings despite posting mediocre overall ratings, will receive renewal orders for thirteen episodes.

The network has also joined ABC and NBC in confirming early pilot pick-ups. THR says that dramas “RideAlong” and “Midland” (now known as “Lone Star”) will join comedies “Traffic Light,” “Keep Hope Alive” and “Wilde Kingdom” on the roster next season. “Terra Nova” has not yet been picked up but is one of the frontrunners to receive an order by next week’s upfront presentation.
