“American Idol” Eliminates Its First Finalist of the Season

Wednesday’s “American Idol” results show did not go well for one of the competition’s six female finalists; the contestant’s elimination brought the top 12 down to eleven as the show chases its grand finale.

After last week’s array of surprise eliminations, this week’s results show more clearly aligned itself with expectations. The bottom three consisted of Tim Urban, Paige Miles and Lacey Brown; of the three, only Paige received particularly positive reviews Tuesday, and her performance still failed to rank as one of the night’s absolute best.

Tim Urban was the first member of the bottom group sent to safety, leaving two females–Paige and Lacey–in the center of the stage in anticipation of the final result. That final announcement revealed that Lacey Brown was the week’s lowest vote-getter.

As with last season, the judges are allowed to use one “save” to keep a deserving contestant in the competition. Lacey’s last-chance rendition of “The Story,” her well-reviewed semifinals performance, was not enough to convince the judges that America got it wrong, however, and Lacey was sent home.

  1. I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the page layout of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?
