For a mainstream sports outlet, ESPN’s Page Two section is rather excited about the prospect of WWE’s Divas going nude.
In Jerry Greene’s article hyping Monday’s Jerry Springer-hosted edition of WWE RAW, the ESPN author seeks a healthy dose of catfights and Diva nudity on tonight’s RAW.
“Jerry Springer will host ‘WWE: Monday Night Raw’ as a post-Valentine Day’s celebration on USA Network, so two thoughts immediately come to mind. Will there be nudity and even more violence than usual,” read the article, adding, “Back to the nudity. The WWE has some lovely divas. Perhaps Springer’s mere presence will ignite a catfight, and perhaps toplessness will ensue?”
Citing Springer’s comments from his recent conference call with Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, the article gave a pessimistic outlook on the possibility of nude Divas.
“They’re really concentrating on going kid-friendly, you know, family-friendly, so I don’t think there’ll be anything like that. I really don’t,” said Springer.
It’s a shame really they don’t have some nude catfighting events every once in a while. It would bring some of us old fans back into the fold. 🙂
