RAW Superstar Messes Up Again, Surprising Vince McMahon-Bret Hart News

— Though his error during the recent RAW match with Randy Orton and John Cena did not cause much post-show commotion, there was some worry that Kingston would be criticized backstage for botching the spot during this week’s match with Big Show. While there was no indication that he would be buried or is losing credibility with WWE officials–he remains in the big Elimination Chamber main event–the streak of botching spots certainly will not endear him to political opponents.

— In an interesting story, the word going around is that Vince McMahon and Bret Hart did not only refrain from scripting their promo Monday but actually did not even consult much prior to the segment on RAW. While they knew the general talking points and planned for the physical encounter to occur whenever Vince dropped the line about Stu Hart not deserving a spot in the Hall of Fame, the bulk of their comments were developed independently.

As for the physical brawl, Bret’s idea was for the attack to come across more like a real-life hockey fight than a traditional wrestling punchout. While the exchange did not come across as the most fluid of wrestling battles, Bret’s shots were reportedly designed to be stiff enough to make the punches look realistic. McMahon checked his teeth after the encounter.
