Report: TNA Name Gives Notice, Asks For Release

While the story is unconfirmed, reports going around claim that TNA women’s division wrestler Awesome Kong has given her notice to the company.

Kong became the subject of controversy this week after a story broke alleging that she attacked Bubba the Love Sponge as retaliation for his “F*ck Haiti” comment. It is not clear that Kong’s supposed request had anything to do with said incident.

F4WOnline.com, which broke the story, was quick to remind observers that giving notice happens fairly frequently in TNA; in most cases, the company ultimately convinces the wrestler to stay. So even if the report of Kong asking to be let go is true, it is far from a certainty that she is done with TNA.
