More on Former WWE Star’s TNA Rumors

Though speculation on a John Bradshaw Layfield trip to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling never made the pages of the leading wrestling industry publications and websites, the former WWE Champion is very adamant about denying the rumors.

After repudiating the speculation his Twitter, JBL wrote a WWE Universe blog about the situation.

“I have not had talks with TNA about joining TNA,” said JBL, adding, “Let me repeat-I have never had talks with TNA and they have never approached me about joining their company. I wish all of them the very best, but I am a WWE guy and will never be anything but a WWE guy.”

Layfield was very complimentary of TNA’s Dixie Carter, but he made it clear that if he were to return (he presently has no desire to do so), it would be for WWE.

He also addressed reports of unhappiness with his WWE exit: “The talks of me being unhappy with not being offered a non wrestling position are not true, at the time I left it was understood I was looking forward to being home after a long and happy career. My relationship with WWE is as good as ever, as far as I am concerned.”
