WWE Seeks “American Idol” Contestant

In a job posting on ActorsAccess.com, WWE confirms that it is seeking a new on-air talent with a musical background.

Says the breakdown, “WWE is looking for a young, attractive female to sing the national anthem and be our regular ring announcer every week, for one of our most popular TV shows (WWE is estimated to be seen in 500,000,000 households in 150 countries/30 languages)…”

The posting also asks those who appeared on “American Idol” or “Making the Band” to make a special note on their submission, indicating WWE’s preference for someone with experience in the world of reality music contests.
