Upfront week continues as CBS reveals its 2017-18 fall schedule.
The schedule does not confirm many dramatic changes. Most nightly lineups are staying consistent, and most returning shows are either remaining in their 2016-17 timeslots or shifting slightly.
It does, however, reveal how the network’s new fall series will be scheduled.
Notably, CBS’ lineup confirms that “The Big Bang Theory” prequel series “Young Sheldon” will be paired with the original show.
As has been the case for the past few years, “TBBT” will open the season on Mondays to account for CBS’ Thursday Night Football package. It will open its season at 8PM on September 25, and “Young Sheldon” will have a special preview/premiere at 8:30PM.
“Young Sheldon” will then rest until November, while “9JKL” slides into the post-“Big Bang Theory” slot on Mondays.
“The Big Bang Theory” will relocate to its Thursday at 8PM home beginning November 2. At that point, “Young Sheldon” will commence its season in the 8:30-9PM half-hour on Thursdays.
In addition to the below new series, CBS has ordered “Instinct” and “By The Book” for later in the year.
