Following in the footsteps of the Auli’i Cravalho version, Alessia Cara’s “How Far I’ll Go” has earned a gold certification in the United States.

The Cara version earned its certification on March 22, 2017 — exactly one week after the Cravalho version went gold.

The certification confirms 500,000 in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Cara’s version peaked at #56 on the Billboard Hot 100. Cravalho’s take went as high as #41.
