Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” is flying up the pop radio chart — evidently to the delight of the format’s listeners.

The “Divide” single received glowing marks in the latest Mediabase/CMM audience callout report.

Based on a survey of pop radio listeners, the report notes that “Shape Of You” is receiving a positive reaction from 71.9% of listeners, a negative reaction from 12.2% and thus a “net positive” score of 59.7%.

Of the 24 songs featured in this week’s report, “Shape Of You” has the second-best positive score (beneath The Chainsmokers’ “Closer ft. Halsey,” 72.3%, and tied with Machine Gun Kelly x Camila Cabello’s “Bad Things”), the lowest negative score and the highest net positive score.

It also received a “favorite” rating from 23.3% of listeners; only “Closer” (27.0%) and “Bad Things” (23.5%) have better marks in that column, and both have far more tenure at radio.

“Shape Of You” will be at least #6 on this week’s Mediabase pop airplay chart; it may reach the Top 5.
