When NBC first announced the listings for the January 20 “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” it did not reveal a musical guest.
That has since changed. NBC has revealed that Marian Hill will perform on Friday’s broadcast.
The duo confirmed the news in a Thursday afternoon Tweet, noting that it will be performing “Down” on the broadcast.
“Down” appears in the new Apple iPhone + AirPods commercial; buzz from the commercial thrust the song into the Top 15 on the US iTunes sales chart earlier this week.
“Down” has also been serviced to radio; pop stations like WiLD 94.9 and 92.3 AMP have begun playing the song.
