As we cross the midway point of the August 12-18 tracking week, Hits Daily Double expects “Suicide Squad: The Album” to repeat as #1 on Top Album Sales and the Billboard 200.

The publication projects a weekly pure sales total of 47-51,000 US copies. The addition of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) should result in a consumption total of 87-92,000 US units.

On the pure sales front, the closest competition will likely come from Justin Moore’s “Kinda Don’t Care” and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “P3.” Hits expects Moore’s new album to sell 39-43,000 pure US copies. The debuting “P3” is expected to shift 30-33,000.

NOW 59 will also be near the top of the sales chart; Hits projects 28-31,000 in weekly sales.

Projected to generate 71-75,000 in total weekly units, Drake’s “Views” will likely claim #2 on the consumption-oriented Billboard 200. “Kinda Don’t Care” (~42-46,000), twenty one pilots’ “Blurryface” (~41-45,000) and “P3” (~40-44,000) will likely complete the Top 5.
