Demi Lovato’s “Let It Go” Certified 2X Platinum In US, “Confident” Album Goes Gold

July 11 brought two RIAA certifications — one in the digital singles category, one in the album category — for Demi Lovato.

The single certification involves Lovato’s “Let It Go.” The “Frozen” cut was officially certified double platinum, signifying a US unit total of at least 2 million.

One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Lovato additionally received a gold certification for her album “Confident.” The gold certification confirms that the album has generated 500,000 in US units; a unit is equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.
