Sunday’s edition of “KC Undercover” suffered episode-to-episode declines in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and total viewership. It led into the Sunday premiere of “Bizaardvark,” which predictably fell sharply from its “Adventures In Babysitting”-boosted series opener.
According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “KC” drew a 0.22 adults 18-49 rating, a 0.23 adults 18-34 rating and 1.24 million total viewers. All three numbers trail those of the previous broadcast, which drew a 0.32 in adults 18-49, a 0.29 in adults 18-34 and 1.46 million total viewers on June 19.
Airing at 8:30PM, the second installment of “Bizaardvark” posted a 0.20 adults 18-49 rating, a 0.22 adults 18-34 rating and a 1.19 million live+same-day viewership sum. While the three numbers nearly match those posted by lead-in “KC Undercover,” they are down significantly from those of the June 24 series premiere.
That premiere scored a 0.47 in adults 18-49, a 0.45 in adults 18-34 and reached 2.41 million total viewers.
Given that the premiere led out of a heavily hyped Disney Channel Original Movie and theoretically benefited from curiosity buzz, a second episode drop was inevitable. The question is whether a drop of this magnitude was inevitable.
Disney’s Sunday lineup also included “Backstage” (0.19 in A18-49, 0.20 in A18-34, 1.03 million total viewers).
