Lifetime’s “UnREAL” Renewed For Season 3; Season 2 Premieres Monday

Unreal [Lifetime]

When Lifetime’s “UnREAL” commences its second season this Monday, it will do so with an assured future. The network has already ordered a third season of the critically acclaimed drama.

While the first season did not draw a massive live+same-day audience, it did fare reasonably well from a multi-platform standpoint. With a mean viewer age of 43, it also ranked as the youngest-skewing scripted series in Lifetime history.

The ten-episode third season will premiere in 2017. The second season begins this coming Monday.

Season two finds show-within-a-show “Everlasting” casting a black suitor for the first time in its run. Rachel has been elevated to showrunner, but a power struggle between Chet and Quinn compromises her control over the set.
