Beyonce’s “Lemonade” Pacing For 475-525K Album Sales; 800-900K Track Sales

While it will not reach the 617K debut mark achieved by her previous album “Beyonce” (a total which, impressively, came after just three days of availability), Beyonce’s new “Lemonade” will still post a strong opening week US sales total — and easily win the weekly race.

According to Hits Daily Double, “Lemonade,” which became available for digital purchase on Monday, April 25, is expected to sell 475-525,000 US albums through the close of tracking on April 28. The figure is at the low end of the 500-600,000 projection that was issued earlier in the week, but it more than doubles that expected of the week’s #2 album (Prince’s “The Very Best Of Prince,” 210-230,000).

It will easily claim #1 on Top Album Sales.

“Lemonade” will also claim a comfortable #1 on the consumption-oriented Billboard 200. In addition to the 475-525,000 units from pure sales, Hits anticipates the album receiving 80-90,000 from track equivalent albums (800-900,000 US track sales/10) and 20-30,000 from streaming equivalent albums (30-45 million TIDAL streams/1500).

The sales, TEA and SEA units would combine for an opening week consumption total in the neighborhood of 575-645,000 units.

The aforementioned “Very Best Of Prince” should follow with 365-390,000.
