MTV has finally confirmed performers for the 2016 MTV Movie Awards ceremony, which emanates from the Warner Bros. Studios backlot on April 10.
Per the official MTV announcement, Halsey and Ariana Grande will both sing on the broadcast.
The former will play “Castle,” which appears on her debut album “Badlands” and on the soundtrack to “The Huntsman: Winter’s War.” The latter will sing her Top 10 hit single “Dangerous Woman.”
“This will be the first time I perform ‘Castle,’ [on TV]” says Halsey. “This song is so important to me as a woman; it’s about not letting anything get in your way. I’m so happy MTV & the Huntsman are giving me the opportunity to present that message on television. Plus it’ll look sick.”
Also added to the lineup: Kendrick Lamar, who will present the “True Story” award. He joins previously confirmed presenters Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, Jessica Chastain, Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Olivia Munn and Gigi Hadid.
Set to air on MTV at 8PM ET, the April 10 show will be co-hosted by The Rock and Kevin Hart.
