Gwen Stefani [NBC]

Gwen Stefani’s “This Is What The Truth Feels Like” indeed claims #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts. It is the first Gwen Stefani solo album to do so.

Per Billboard, the album leads the former chart with 76K in pure sales and the latter with 84K in total consumption units.

Total consumption is defined as the sum of pure sales + Track Equivalent Albums (10 track sales/10) + Streaming Equivalent Albums (track streams/1500).

While the numbers are slightly below those reported by Hits Daily Double, they still comfortably position “Truth” atop the chart.

Stefani was a coach during season nine of NBC’s “The Voice.” Jordan Smith, who won that season, takes second place on this week’s Billboard Top Album Sales and 200 charts with his debut album “Something Beautiful.” It sold what Billboard reports as 52K pure copies and 54K total first-week units.

In starting at #2, “Something Beautiful” is the highest-charting album released by a “The Voice” contestant. In sell 52K pure copies, it posted the best first week sales figure for an album released by a “The Voice” contestant.

Also in the Top 5 on this week’s Billboard 200: Rihanna’s “ANTI” (#3, -2), Adele’s “25” (#4, -2) and Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” (#5, -2).
