NBC Touts Another Big Ratings Night For “Little Big Shots,” Steady “Carmichael” Performance

Competition from March Madness, “The Passion” and customary third episode blues only produced a slight negative affect for NBC’s “Little Big Shots,” which again had an impressive night.

In a press release touting the performance, NBC notes that episode three of its “Little Big Shots” drew a 2.6 adults 18-49 rating and 13.2 million viewers. Despite the aforementioned factors, “Little Big Shots” retained 93% of last week’s adults 18-49 rating and 88% of last week’s viewership sum.

Excluding CBS’ NCAA basketball overrun, “Little Big Shots” was Sunday’s #1 primetime broadcast network program in adults 18-49 and total viewership. NBC notes that it beat “The Passion” — its closest timeslot rival on broadcast — by 73% in the key adults 18-49 demographic.

“Little Big Shots” has already been renewed for season two.

Lead-out “The Carmichael Show,” which also had to deal with basketball and “The Passion” (as well as 9PM staple “The Walking Dead”) matched last week’s series high 1.4 adults 18-49 rating. It did, however, slip to 5.4 million total viewers. Last week’s 9PM episode drew 6.5 million.

The time period premiere of “Crowded” occupied the 9:30-10PM slot with a 1.0 and 3.8 million viewers, while NBC closed its night with “Hollywood Game Night” (0.7, 2.7m).
