Justin Bieber has achieved numerous career milestones throughout the “Purpose” era.
He is about to achieve another one: a #1 hit on the Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart.
Bieber’s “Love Yourself” received 5,533 spins during the first six days of the March 6-12 tracking week. Up 11.2% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “Love Yourself” at #1 on Mediabase’s building chart.
twenty one pilots’ “Stressed Out,” which spent the past two weeks at #1, is #2 on this week’s building chart. It received 5,464 spins during the first six days, a figure that trails last week’s count by 1.8%.
Since “Love Yourself” is accelerating and “Stressed Out” is decelerating, the former should have no trouble retaining #1 on the chart through the close of tracking.
Upon doing so, it will give Bieber his first #1 on the Mediabase Hot AC chart.
