Alessia Cara’s “Wild Things,” Zara Larsson & MNEK’s “Never Forget You,” and One Direction’s “History” are slated to crack the Top 40 on this week’s Mediabase pop airplay chart.
Spun 778 times during the first four days of the February 7-13 tracking week (+56.2%), “Wild Things” is #36 on Mediabase’s building chart. “Never Forget You” is #37 on building with 671 spins over that same four day period (+96.2%), while One Direction’s “History” is #40 thanks to 610 spins (+32.0%).
With no imminent threats emerging from below, the songs will have no trouble retaining their Top 40 positions over the final three days of the tracking period.
“Wild Things” is the follow-up to Cara’s chart-topping debut single “Here.” “Never Forget You” follows “Uncover” and “Lush Life” as Larsson’s third US radio single; it will become her first to reach pop’s Top 40. It will also be MNEK’s first US Top 40. “History” is the third single from One Direction’s “Made In The AM” — it follows Top 10 hit “Drag Me Down” and Top 15 hit “Perfect.”
