“One of the most nervous live performances I’ve ever done but I [love] performing colors,” Tweeted Halsey regarding her inaugural showcase on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Halsey’s performance, which closed Wednesday’s “Fallon,” represented the completion of the 11:35PM late night trifecta. The singer-songwriter made appearances on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and CBS’ “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” last year.
She performed “New Americana” on those two shows. On “Fallon,” she showcased her new single “Colors.”
The song, which officially impacted the alternative radio format this week, is a fan favorite from her debut album “Badlands.” It is expected to make a run at mainstream radio in the coming weeks.
“Thank you guys for watching and for giving me the opportunity to re-fall in love with ‘Colors’ everyday,” wrote Halsey in a Tweet following Wednesday’s performance.
