Alessia Cara’s “Wild Things” Headed To Rhythmic, Pop Radio As Next Single

Alessia Cara [ABC]

Team Def Jam has settled on “Wild Things” as the follow-up to Alessia Cara’s double-platinum breakthrough “Here.”

Per a Def Jam announcement, the track is tentatively scheduled to impact the rhythmic radio format on January 26. It is set to go for pop adds on February 2.

“Wild Thing,” which appears on Cara’s debut album “Know-It-All,” received high-profile exposure (along with fellow album track “Seventeen”) in a “Quantico” episode this past fall. It was recently used in a promotional spot for the Freeform network (previously ABC Family).

The aforementioned “Here” reached #1 at rhythmic radio last month. It is currently #3 — and rising — on the Mediabase pop airplay chart.
