G-Eazy’s “When It’s Dark Out” On Pace for 95-110K First-Week Sales; Rick Ross Set For 50-55K

Based on its opening day performance, G-Eazy’s “When It’s Dark Out” has a solid chance of posting a six-figure opening week sales total in the US.

Per Hits Daily Double, the album is currently on track to sell 95-110,000 US copies (pure sales) during the December 4-10 tracking week. Among this week’s new releases, it will only trail Coldplay’s “A Head Full Of Dreams” (150-170,000).

The tally marks a big jump from that of the rapper’s 2014 release “These Things Happen.” That album sold 47,000 US copies in its first week.

In addition to the Coldplay and G-Eazy albums, the week also features new studio releases from Rick Ross (“Black Market,” on track for 50-55,000 sales), Troye Sivan (“Blue Neighbourhood,” on track for 45-50,000 sales), and Kid Cudi (“Speedin’ Bullet To Heaven,” on track for 17-20,000 sales). Bruce Springsteen’s box set “The Ties That Bind: The River Collection” is expected to sell 16-19,000.
