“What Do You Mean?” Becomes Justin Bieber’s First Pop Radio #1

Last month, “What Do You Mean?” became Justin Bieber’s first #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. Last week, it became his first such hit on the Billboard Pop Songs chart.

This week, it becomes his first song to top the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

Spun ~18,544 times during the October 11-17 tracking week (+1,706), “What Do You Mean?” rises two places to #1 on this week’s chart. It officially seizes the throne from R. City’s “Locked Away (featuring Adam Levine),” which slips to #5 after two weeks in the top spot.

Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams,” which was #4 on last week’s chart, claims #2 this week. It received ~18,030 spins during the official tracking week (+2,242).

The weekly spin gain of 2,242 was pop radio’s greatest during the official tracking week, but it was not enough to thrust “Wildest Dreams” into the top spot on this week’s Mediabase chart.

The Weeknd’s “The Hills” (#3, -1) | ~17,318, +362), Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” (#4, +1 | ~14,852, +1,651), and the aforementioned “Locked Away” (#5, -4 | ~14,749, -2,484) complete the weekly Top 5.
