Ratings: FX’s “The Strain” Viewership Slips For Season Finale

While it held steady in the adults 18-49 demographic, Sunday’s “The Strain” season finale suffered a week-over-week viewership loss.

Entitled “Night Train,” Sunday’s season two conclusion posted a 0.54 adults 18-49 rating with 1.171 million viewers. The penultimate second season episode posted the same 0.54 A18-49 rating but reached a total audience of 1.231 million viewers.

Throughout its second season, “The Strain” drew markedly smaller audiences than it did during the inaugural year. This season’s most-watched episode, in fact, reached fewer viewers than the first season’s least-watched episode.

It nonetheless earned a third season renewal.
