Alessia Cara’s “Here,” Afrojack’s “SUMMERTHING!” Added By New York’s Z100

Mediabase’s pop radio add board does not close until Tuesday afternoon, but New York’s Z100 has already confirmed two playlist pickups.

The influential pop station has officially added Alessia Cara’s “Here” and Afrojack’s “SUMMERTHING! (featuring Mike Taylor)”

Long eyed as a potential breakthrough star, Cara recently received a valuable endorsement from Taylor Swift. Swift, who occasionally uses her massive reach to spotlight promising new talent, praised Cara’s cover of “Bad Blood.”

While it does not technically impact pop radio until this week, “SUMMERTHING!” has already been receiving a solid level of airplay. It is currently the #43 song on Mediabase’s pop panel.
