Currently in a state of decline at pop radio, Echosmith’s “Bright” continues to rise at the hot adult contemporary format.
This week, that rise brings the song into the Top 10 of Mediabase’s Hot AC airplay chart.
Per Sunday’s official edition of the listing, “Bright” is the format’s #9 song. Up two places from last week’s position, it received ~4,035 spins (+105) during the June 14-20 tracking week.
“Bright” is the follow-up to Echosmith’s breakthrough single “Cool Kids.” That song reached the Top 5 on Mediabase’s Hot AC chart.
It is also this week’s only new addition to the format’s Top 10. Two songs do, however, reach the Top 15.
Leading the charge is Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph.” Up three places, “Photograph” rises to a new peak of #13 on the strength of its ~2,940 (+282) tracking week spins.
Thanks to a three position rise of its own, James Bay’s “Hold Back the River” also reaches the Top 15. Spun ~2,037 times during the tracking week (+113), the song reaches #15 on this week’s chart.
