The Weeknd’s “The Hills” Debuted with 109K First Week Sales

Earlier this week, Billboard revealed that The Weeknd’s “The Hills” debuted at #20 on its all-encompassing Hot 100. The song’s first week sales figure played an instrumental role in driving that strong debut.

According to Nielsen Music, that sales figure clocked in at 109,000 for the May 25-31 tracking week.

Only four singles enjoyed better weekly sales totals: Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” (241,000), Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” (172,000), Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” (118,000) and Andy Grammer’s “Honey, I’m Good” (116,000).

In addition to landing at #5 on Digital Songs, “The Hills” started at #24 on Streaming Songs.
