Ratings: “Younger” Viewership Surges on Nick at Nite, TV Land

First-season comedy “Younger” refuses to adhere to any discernible ratings pattern.

Two weeks ago, “Younger” delivered its best viewership mark since the March 31 series premiere episode.

Last week, “Younger” delivered its worst viewership mark on record.

This week, it reached even more viewers than the episode from two weeks ago. Despite that sizable viewership gain, it settled for a decidedly slight uptick in the adults 18-49 demographic.

Again airing concurrently on Nick at Nite and TV Land, Tuesday’s “Younger” drew a combined 0.35 adults 18-49 rating with 1.274 million viewers. The Nick at Nite broadcast drew a 0.18 adults 18-49 rating with 687,000 viewers, while the TV Land airing contributed a 0.17 rating and 589,000 viewers to the overall total.

Last week’s episode, which scored a combined 0.34 adults 18-49 rating with 926,000 viewers, posted a 0.22 with 501,000 viewers on Nick at Nite and a 0.12 with 425,000 viewers on TV Land.

The week-over-week Nick at Nite change demonstrates the volatility of the show’s skew. Despite slipping by 18% in the adults 18-49 demographic, this week’s Nick at Nite airing enjoyed a 37% increase in overall viewership.

Tuesday’s “Younger” was the most-watched episode since the series premiere.

“Younger” has already received an order for a twelve-episode second season.
