Rihanna’s “FourFiveSeconds” Surges on Pop, Hot AC Airplay Charts

Thanks to the hourly promotion it received from iHeartMedia stations this weekend, Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s “FourFiveSeconds” is now listed as one of the forty most-played songs at pop and Hot AC radio.

According to Mediabase, “FourFiveSeconds” has commanded 1,308 spins since its release Saturday night. That registers it as the #35 song for the entire seven-day period between January 19 and 25.

The song, meanwhile, appears at #38 on the rolling rhythmic airplay chart courtesy the 295 spins it has received at the format.

And insofar as a healthy dose of its spins are coming in high-profile markets, “FourFiveSeconds” ranks even more favorably from an airplay standpoint. At pop, its impression count of 11.23 million ranks as the format’s 28th-largest for the week. At Hot AC, its impression count of 2.70 million ranks as the format’s 30th-largest for the week.

“FourFiveSeconds” has also begun receiving spins at rhythmic and urban radio, but it does not yet appear within either format’s top fifty.
