Confirmed as an opening act for Taylor Swift’s upcoming “1989” tour, rising pop star Shawn Mendes will soon be performing for massive crowds in a setting rich with opportunity.
As he prepares to embark on that tour, Mendes will make time to show off his performing ability on NBC’s popular “TODAY” Show.
NBC announced that the “Life of the Party” and “Something Big” singer will perform on the January 27 edition of “TODAY.” Per the current listings, Mendes will perform during the 7-9AM and 10-11AM portions of the show; he will sit down for an interview during the middle block.
The performance coincides with radio impact date for his “Life of the Party.” After struggling to launch “Something Big,” Republic’s radio promotions team will attempt to relaunch “Life of the Party” on January 27.
Other upcoming “TODAY” Show performers include Spandau Ballet (1/20), Fall Out Boy (1/21), the “Honeymoon in Vegas” cast (1/22), Kenny G (1/28) and Eden xo (1/29). Elvis Duran’s to-be-revealed “Artist of the Month” will perform on 1/26.
Upcoming interview guests include Anne Hathaway, Lauren Graham, Don Cheadle, Rainn Wilson, Ryan Seacrest, Patrick J. Adams, the Backstreet Boys, Keri Russell, Kevin Costner and Octavia Spencer.
