Live “Happy,” “All of Me” Recordings Up for Pop Solo Grammy

Both were eligible last year, but insofar as neither made major waves until long after the deadline had passed, neither Pharrell’s juggernaut “Happy” nor John Legend’s blockbuster “All of Me” garnered ended up in the mix.

Hoping to capitalize on their belated surged into hitville, Pharrell and John Legend submitted live versions of their song this year. Neither ended up in the mix for the big Record of the Year prize, but both songs did find their way onto the radar.

Pharrell’s live “Happy” and John Legend’s live “All of Me” will both be in the mix for Best Pop Solo performance.

Other nominees in the category include Sia’s “Chandelier,” Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me” and Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off.”
