Foo Fighters’ “Something from Nothing” Hits Top 5 on Sales Chart; Listen Now

While it did not have the juice to charge past Taylor Swift’s two “1989” tracks in its first few hours of release, Foo Fighters’ “Something from Nothing” was able to rocket into the top 5 on iTunes.

As of press time, the lead single from the band’s hotly anticipated “Sonic Highways” is #5 on the all-genre iTunes chart. It trails only Swift’s “Out of the Woods” (#1) and “Shake it Off” (#2), Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” (#3) and Slipknot’s “Killpop” (#4).

Based on pre-order interest, the band’s eight-track “Sonic Highways” album is meanwhile #8 on the iTunes album sales chart. The album officially releases on November 10.
