One of 2014’s big, multi-format revelations is now in the top ten at pop radio.
Echosmith’s “Cool Kids,” that song, rises to #10 on the latest edition of Mediabase’s rolling airplay chart. It claims the spot on the strength of 7,971 spins during the September 30 – October 6 tracking period.
Pop represents the second format on which the song has achieved the feat. Last month, it leaped into the top ten at hot adult contemporary. It currently holds the #6 position at the format.
No longer in the top 40 at alternative, where it actually received some minor support prior to its emergence at the pop and Hot AC formats, “Cool Kids” is, however, operating at a peak on the adult contemporary airplay chart. It is currently #24 in that realm.
It is meanwhile #37 on the rolling Triple A airplay listing.
Also popular on iTunes and Spotify, “Cool Kids” has leveraged the totality of its exposure to secure a spot in the top twenty of Billboard’s all-encompassing Hot 100.
