Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” Reclaims #1 on Sales Chart

After two weeks in the shadow of Meghan Trainor’s breakthrough “All About that Bass,” Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” is back atop the Billboard Digital Songs chart.

“Shake it Off” added 294,000 sales to its total last week, which represented a slightly better addition than the 282,000 delivered by “All About That Bass.”

Despite positioning the song at #2 on the chart, the weekly “Bass” sales nonetheless bring the song’s total to a very admirable 2.28 million.

After five weeks of availability, the “Shake” total sits at 1.783 million.

Other hot sellers this week include Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang” (#3, 144,000), Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow (featuring Rita Ora)” (#4, 121,000) and Tove Lo’s “Habits (Stay High)” (#5, 107,000).

Not simply a newcomer to the Top 5, “Habits” this week makes its first appearance in the Top 10. It was #13 on last week’s chart.
