Already supported by more than 30 stations, Calvin Harris’ “Blame (featuring John Newman)” scored significant radio airplay in its first day of availability.
According to Mediabase, the song received 470 plays at pop radio Monday. That single-day spin total positions the song at #49 on Tuesday’s rolling pop airplay chart, which measures airplay for the entire seven day period between September 2 and September 8.
The opening day was even more impressive from an audience standpoint. Thanks to its exposure in large markets, “Blame” received a whopping 5.15 million audience impressions during its first day in rotation. That was the pop format’s 34th-largest audience total for the aforementioned tracking period.
— Alesso’s “Heroes (featuring Tove Lo),” another vocal EDM track, is also off to a solid start at pop. Supported by key stations in LA and New York, “Heroes” received 471 spins and 5.04 million audience impressions between September 2 and September 8.
