Facing significant expectations, Thomas Rhett’s new single “Make Me Wanna” got off to a solid start at country radio this week.

While it did not electrify the radio in the same manner as the latest releases from Kenny Chesney, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean, the anticipated follow-up to Rhett’s #1 hits “It Goes Like This” and “Get Me Some of That” impacted as the week’s most-added country song.

According to Mediabase, the disco-tinged “Make Me Wanna” scored adds from 36 monitored stations this week.

With early adds included, the song debuted with first-week support from a total of 46 stations, boasted label Valory Music in a promotional message.

Maddie and Tae’s “Girl in a Country Song,” which rips Rhett’s previous single “Get Me Some of That” in its second verse, earned another strong wave of support this week. With 21 new monitored adds, it was the week’s second-most-added track.

“Girl” has now ranked as one of country’s five most-added for three consecutive weeks.

After a fairly quiet second outing last week, Lucy Hale’s “Lie a Little Better” bounced back as this week’s third-most-added track. It landed at 18 new monitored stations.

David Nail’s enduring “Kiss You Tonight,” Randy Houser’s “Like a Cowboy” and The Cadillac Three’s “Party Like You” tied for fourth-most-added with 16 monitored adds each.

Jana Kramer’s “Love” (15 monitored adds, 7th-most-added), Love and Theft’s “Night You’ll Never Forget” (14 monitored adds, 8th-most-added), Jason Aldean’s “Burnin’ it Down” (13 monitored adds, 9th-most-added) and Luke Bryan’s “Roller Coaster” (11 monitored adds, 10th-most-added) also had strong weeks.
