Kiesza’s “Hideaway” Goes Top 20 at Pop, Jeremih Hits #39

Kiesza - Jimmy Kimmel Live

No longer hidden from the music masses, Kiesza’s breakthrough single “Hideaway” has officially reached the Top 20 at pop radio.

According to Mediabase, the song was the pop format’s 20th-most-played song for the seven days ending August 1. It garnered 3,168 spins and 22.36 million audience impressions over that period.

Currently #23, Jessie J + Ariana Grande + Nicki Minaj’s rapidly rising “Bang Bang” will likely overtake “Hideaway” this weekend. While that might temporarily push “Hideaway” back to #21, the Kiesza tune would quickly return to the Top 20 by charging past Tiesto’s declining #19 “Wasted (featuring Matthew Koma).”

While Kiesza is celebrating her first top 20 pop hit, Jeremih is celebrating his third top 40 entry. His “Don’t Tell ’em (featuring YG),” which is already #5 at rhythmic radio and #8 at urban radio, officially enters the mix at pop this weekend.

Mediabase says the crossover effort was the pop format’s 39th-most-played song for the seven days ending August 1. It received 1,061 spins and 9.98 million audience impressions.

Jeremih previously reached the Top 40 (and Top 20) at pop with “Birthday Sex” and “Down on Me (featuring 50 Cent).”

Other notables on the rolling pop airplay chart for July 26 – August 1:

— As projected, Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap” rises to #7. It is poised to imminently leapfrog Maroon 5’s “Maps” for #6.

— Demi Lovato’s “Really Don’t Care (featuring Cher Lloyd),” which had been holding at #11, swaps places with OneRepublic’s “Love Runs Out” to land at #10.

— Rita Ora’s “I Will Never Let You Down” rises to #21. Like the Kiesza song, however, it is due to imminently lose one chart position in favor of the rising “Bang Bang.”

— Based on the current chart outlook, Fifth Harmony’s “Bo$$,” which is currently #43, could be due for an imminent jump into the Top 40. Usher’s #44 “She Came to Give it to You” should also be able to make that leap.
