There is a good chance WWE WrestleMania 30 peaked in its first segment.
Shortly after the annual host Hulk Hogan opened the show, fellow wrestling icon Steve Austin joined Hogan to further ignite the crowd. Not to be outdone, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson joined the mix to complete the Holy Trinity of sports entertainment personalities.
The segment ended with each man delivering his signature catchphrase–and then chugging beers in tribute to Steve Austin’s unforgettable gimmick.
It might not have featured substantive comment, but the moment was an absolute joy for the WWE Universe and one that is unlikely to be topped by anything else on the show–save for a potential Daniel Bryan title win in the main event.
