At least one of the rumors surrounding Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” tour transformed into fact Tuesday.
In conjunction with the beginning of pre-sales, Cyrus officially confirmed Swedish electropop duo Icona Pop as a supporting act for the tour, which commences this February.
“Stoked to tour with @iconapop,” Tweeted Cyrus.
Icona Pop, best known for its breakthrough “I Love It,” added, “So EXCITED to announce we’re joining @MileyCyrus on her #BANGERZ tour! Get ready to dance with all of us soon! #iconapop #BANGERZTour #party.”
Mum thus far on her other tourmate, Cyrus teasingly Tweeted, “I’m bringing on another secret guest.” Rumors–the same ones that spoiled the Icona Pop announcement–suggest Sky Ferreira will be that guest.
With 38 confirmed dates, the North American “Bangerz” tour begins in Vancouver on February 14, 2014.
