Improvement is improvement, but given the stakes of this Monday’s RAW, its ratings performance was nothing about which to write home.
Building on last week’s performance, RAW averaged a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating off hours of 1.3, 1.5 and 1.5. Viewership clocked in at 4.01 million viewers, which also marks a slight improvement over last week.
Still, given the questionable circumstances surrounding Daniel Bryan’s win at Night of Champions, the assured fallout should have functioned as a much stronger hook. With just a 1.3 rating and 3.87 million viewers, the first hour, which included Triple H’s decision to strip Bryan of the WWE Championship, definitely did not draw like a special edition of RAW.
Monday’s NFL game between the Steelers and Bengals drew a 5.9 rating, which landed in between the two pieces of last week’s doubleheader. The Eagles-Redskins game, which served as competition for the bulk of last week’s RAW, drew a 6.6. The later game between the Chargers and Texans drew a 5.0.
