The 2026 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony was a momentous one for Taylor Swift.
No, she did not sweep the awards. She did, however, break the record for most all-time VMA wins. And she did so by taking home some very prestigious trophies.
Swift notably won Video of the Year for her “The Fate Of Ophelia.” Said video also won for Direction.
That latter award was fitting, because Swift additionally took home the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honor for her years of excellent work in that dual-threat capacity.
Presented by host Snoop Dogg, Swift’s Video of the Year win closed the show. After the broadcast, they posed for a backstage photo together.
