In an utterly unsurprising outcome, Sabrina Carpenter’s “Man’s Best Friend” is set to rule this week’s US album charts.

According to Hits Daily Double, the album will sell about 205K pure US copies during the August 29-September 4 tracking period. With units from track sales and streams included, it may generate 350K in total first-week consumption.

The numbers will easily produce #1 starts on the Billboard Top Album Sales and 200 charts, respectively.

The real question is whether the album will result in career high marks for Sabrina Carpenter. Her previous album “Short n’ Sweet” debuted with personal bests of 184K US sales and 362K total US units. All indications are that “Man’s Best Friend” will surpass the pure sales mark; the question is whether it can generate enough late-week activity to reach a higher consumption total than 362K.
