“Tears,” the latest official single from Sabrina Carpenter’s “Man’s Best Friend” album, enjoyed an unsurprisingly big first day at pop radio.

According to Mediabase, the song had received 795 plays by the close of Friday, August 29.

The impressive count slots “Tears” at #40 on the building/real-time Mediabase pop chart, which accounts for the first six days of the August 24-30 tracking period. All indications are that the song will have another solid day Saturday and thus retain its Top 40 ranking as the chart goes final.

Said chart, as first forecast by Headline Planet, will feature Carpenter’s previous single “Manchild” at #1.
