J. Cole’s “MIDDLE CHILD” has not even been in the market for six months. Despite that reality, it boats multi-platinum status in the United States.

The single, which was released in late-January 2019, attained a triple-platinum award on June 10, 2019.

The award confirms 3 million in US units; each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“MIDDLE CHILD” reached #1 at the urban and rhythmic radio formats. It meanwhile peaked at #4 on the overall Billboard Hot 100 chart, in the process becoming the artist’s first Top 5 hit in the US.
