Jonas Brothers’ comeback single “Sucker” made quite the splash during its first official week of release.
The proof? It debuts at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Sucker” becomes Jonas Brothers’ first #1 on the listing, which ranks songs based on activity from sales, streams and radio airplay. Prior to this single, the band had peaked at #5 with “Burnin’ Up.”
“Sucker” posted particularly strong opening week sales and streaming numbers and in fact becomes the trio’s first #1 on Digital Song Sales and Streaming Songs.
Reflective of strong early interest at radio, it takes #46 on the all-format Billboard Radio Songs chart. That, too, represents a new career high.
“Sucker” seizes the throne from Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow,” which hit #1 on the heels of the song’s vast Oscars exposure. That song slips to #6 this week.
The full Top 5 is as follows:
1) Jonas Brothers – Sucker
2) Ariana Grande – 7 rings
3) Cardi B & Bruno Mars – Please Me
4) Post Malone & Swae Lee – Sunflower
5) Halsey – Without Me
